Trying to create questions for the Movie Production survey was a little difficult. Thinking of questions is hard because you have to make questions that appeal to audience, and don't bore them. Each survey was different because each person thought of different questions and types of questions. The questions are all different but relate to movie production questions. The demographic questions I chose helped understand my results. Receiving an age group helped learn what kind of movies people wanted to see. Learning that many people don't go to movies that often helped understand why movie production money has slowed down. I got 25 responses for my survey. A good project for the class to do related to the Apprentice is to have the class act out many different tasks, and choose a winner for each task. The winners will get a prize.

Sports Promotion Case Study
The Sports Promotion Case Study was based on a website called active.com. Active.com is a website that promotes athletes. This case study featured many videos of athletes named Ryan Melley, and Jack Geiger. Websites like Hudl help you be able to watch or check up on an athlete.
The Sports Promotion was in Chapter 8. There are many terms through out this chapter. Five terms that will be defined are Advertising, Promotional Advertising, Print Media, Direct Marketing, and Online Advertising. Advertising is a paid promotion of an idea, good or service. Promotional Advertising is advertising with a goal of selling the item being promoted. Print Media is media that is printed- newspapers, magazines, books, mail, etc. Direct Marketing uses various media to communicate directly with consumers to make a sale. Online Advertising is when business can purchase ad's online.
As a class, we should learn about different hockey equipment. We should know about all the the different equipment the players have to wear. This equipment is important because hockey players check each other so the equipment has to be strong.

The business for my new company is a makeup store. The new makeup store, which be located in the downtown complex of Andover, Ma, is called "Pure Beauty". This is similar to a Sephora type store, but this new makeup store is much cheaper and affordable for the average person! The makeup sold at "Pure Beauty" is high quality made more affordable for women who can't afford going to Sephora every time that makeup is needed.
Product: High end makeup from brands: Two-Faced, Naked, Urban Decay, etc.
Price: Ranges from $20-40 dollars, a lot cheaper than Sephora
Promotion: 50% off first purchase, send daily coupons through email or mail with signup
Place: Located in downtown complex in Andover, Ma
Sephora is a competitor with "Pure Beauty". They sell the same brands of makeup, but for much more money. Sephora sells great quality makeup, but not every person can afford it. The marketing mix is applied to Sephora similarly to "Pure Beauty".
Product: High end makeup from brands: Two-Faced, Naked, Urban Decay, etc.
Price: Ranges from $30 to $50-100 dollars, a lot more expensive than "Pure Beauty"

Boston Turned Down: Good or Bad?
I am happy Boston got turned down for the Olympics. Boston is a great city, but it is not big enough for an event as big as the Olympics. Although Boston would gain money for hosting the Olympics, we would lose a lot more than gained. How would we be able to provide living for all these people? Many new buildings would have to be made in places that Boston does not have room for to host the Olympians, judges and hosts, TV broadcasters, families of athletes, and just overall tourists and fans. Making all those buildings and getting rid of them would be a problem that isn't easy to fix. Another reason that I am happy Boston got turned down is that the traffic would be 1000x worse than it already is. I live 20 minutes away from Boston, and I am not willing to wait 3 hours to get there just because of the Olympics. Overall, we would lose a lot of money in the long run than we would be earning, and we made the right decision.
